The RICS Level 3 Building Survey is best suited for older, high value, larger and more complex properties and for buildings which may require a lot of work. It can, of course, be undertaken on more modern properties, if this is the type of survey you prefer to commission.
This type of building survey is ideal for older homes, properties with unusual construction, or buildings that have undergone major extensions or renovations. It’s also the best choice if you’re planning significant refurbishments or simply want the most detailed inspection available.
Unlike the Level 2 Home Buyer Survey, which is suited to conventional and relatively modern homes, the Level 3 report goes into far greater depth, with a full structural overview, detailed defect analysis, and advice on repairs and maintenance.
